Ghosts'n'Gnomes is a free retro arcade platformer you can play online in your browser — one of those free games to play with no download, no install, no app store and no paywall. Run and gun across ten hand-built levels through an enchanted forest held by gnomes, blasting ghosts, dodging geysers and lava, and finishing each stage for a spot on the monthly leaderboard.
It is built as a mobile web game first: open it on your phone, turn to landscape and play fullscreen with on-screen thumb controls — a virtual joystick plus JUMP, FIRE, SWAP and MEGA buttons — no app, no download, no controller needed. On desktop it plays with the keyboard (arrow keys to run, up to jump, space to fire, W to swap weapons, P to pause).
Every month the top pilot on the leaderboard wins free music: they pick any song from the Cosmic Cereals discography and download it free in high-quality MP3. Registration needs only a callsign and an email address, confirmed with a 6-digit code.
